The Great Pumpkin Ale…

The Great Pumpkin Ale was actually born a few years ago with a frozen pumpkin late on a dark October night. The Pumpkin was most likely the very last one at the market, uncarved alone sitting out just waiting to be used. We picked it up, took it home and cut it into pieces…

We then baked the pumpkin, threw in some oats and it started to pour outside. After about 45 minutes we began to strip off all the goodness that was there nicely baked and added into the mash…

We cut up some vanilla beans, added cloves, ginger roots, and a little cinnamon. It was the perfect night to brew cold and dark but the fire was burning.

After the brew we let it ferment for about 3 weeks, carbed it up and then we had a chance to taste the magic… The Perfect Pumpkin Brew. Hence named “The Great Pumpkin Ale” a seasonal Ale made with Pumpkin and Spices.

Can’t wait until we can share it with you! -SL
